Breakfast: paleo cereal with 2% milk, rooibos tea with 2% milk

Lunch: tossed salad with tomatoes, avocado, walnuts, dried cranberries; oil (avocado) and vinegar (red wine) dressing; low sodium club soda

Dinner: salami, mixed nuts, grapes

Dessert: one square 85% dark chocolate

Exercise: long bike ride with the dog

Thoughts: Very excited about tomorrow’s weekly weigh-in! The period weight has gone and this week’s loss added, so it feels like a huge jump even though I know it has been steady.

The Basics

My way of eating is based on a Paleo/Primal diet and is comprised mainly of saturated animal fat (grass-fed meat, pastured eggs, butter), nuts and seeds (almonds, pecans, macadamia nuts, coconut, pumpkin seeds) and their oils (coconut oil, avocado oil) and lots of vegetables and fruit. I eat virtually no sugar (other than that contained naturally in fruit), potatoes or sweet potatoes, beans or legumes, and no grains or grain products.
