Day 20

Breakfast: brie cheese with almonds; black tea (no sugar, woot!)

Lunch: heaping plate of raw veggies, a bit of cheese, a bit of tuna

Snack: two small pieces organic dark chocolate

Dinner: takeout from fave asian chili restaurant (mum and I watched the game together) – spicy beef, beef with chinese mushrooms, sauteed gai lan, no rice

Thoughts: was at a conference all day today, and was so proud of myself for turning down the cakes, cookies, and other goodies that were on the potluck lunch table. Thankfully there was a big veggie plate, and a broccoli/tomato salad. The chocolate was not high in cacao, but I had a small amount of it so hopefully not too big a deal.

The Basics

My way of eating is based on a Paleo/Primal diet and is comprised mainly of saturated animal fat (grass-fed meat, pastured eggs, butter), nuts and seeds (almonds, pecans, macadamia nuts, coconut, pumpkin seeds) and their oils (coconut oil, avocado oil) and lots of vegetables and fruit. I eat virtually no sugar (other than that contained naturally in fruit), potatoes or sweet potatoes, beans or legumes, and no grains or grain products.
