Day 14

Weekly Weigh-In: 150 lbs

Breakfast: smoothie (coconut milk, 2% milk, frozen berries, almond butter)

Exercise: long bike ride with the dog

Lunch: on the road; nibbles of hvarti cheese, almonds, cashews, raisins

Snack: orange, apple

Dinner: roasted chicken; glass of red wine

Dessert: 1/4 serving dark chocolate raspberry bar, 1 trail mix cookie

Thoughts: We’re on vacation as of today. Staying at a lovely beach resort in Tofino. It’s gorgeous here! A few cheats are inevitable I think, but I’ll keep it low key.

The Basics

My way of eating is based on a Paleo/Primal diet and is comprised mainly of saturated animal fat (grass-fed meat, pastured eggs, butter), nuts and seeds (almonds, pecans, macadamia nuts, coconut, pumpkin seeds) and their oils (coconut oil, avocado oil) and lots of vegetables and fruit. I eat virtually no sugar (other than that contained naturally in fruit), potatoes or sweet potatoes, beans or legumes, and no grains or grain products.
